The Human Body

Human beings represent the most evolved and intelligent species till date to inhabit the earth. The human body is naturally a complex system with many components interacting and coordinating to perform various tasks. Human body is essentially a huge network of cells that are organized into tissues and then into organs that work harmoniously for sustaining life. Physiology explores the physical form and organization of the human body.

The organs join together to form complex systems: mainly, the digestive system, the reproductory system, excretory system, respiratory system, skeletal system and nervous system. The physical structure shows a head, a pair of arms and two legs, with torso and neck as well. The heart and brain comprise the most important organs of the human body. The female body differs from the male anatomy in terms of reproductory organs, hormones and several other features.

The height and size of the human body are dependent to a major extent on the parent bodies. Genetic history goes a long way in determining the behavior of the human body. The branch of science called human anatomy deals with the morphological actions of the human body. Cytology, histology, pathology and cell chemistry are other major branches that study the human body.
